The Challenge

Government decision-makers lacked a reliable way to monitor public sentiment at scale. Opinion across Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and the open web was fragmented, unstructured, and impossible to analyze manually — creating a blind spot between policy and public perception.

The Solution

A fully automated, end-to-end media intelligence dashboard built for the Tripura Chief Minister's office under the Good Governance (GG) Project. The platform ingests, classifies, and sentiment-scores social media content in real time, surfacing actionable public opinion insights to executive stakeholders.

System Architecture & Features

Data Ingestion

Automated API connectors extract structured and unstructured data from Facebook, Instagram, X, and open web sources into Microsoft Fabric Notebooks — continuously and at scale.

Keyword Engine

A web application frontend integrated with Azure SQL Database lets administrators define dynamic keywords, which drive targeted data pulling — putting control directly in the hands of governance teams.

Classification

Keyword-based categorization logic within MS Fabric Notebooks tags and enriches raw data before it reaches the analytics layer.

ETL & Delta Lake

A robust ETL pipeline in Microsoft Fabric handles transformation, cleansing, and persistence to Delta Lake — following data lake best practices for reliability and auditability.

AI Sentiment

Google Gen AI models integrated via notebook APIs perform large-scale NLP sentiment scoring across social and open web datasets — automatically and at cloud speed.

Reporting Layer

Fabric KQL scripts transfer processed data from Delta Lake to the web application layer, powering live dashboards with sub-second query performance.
